The journey to Stalheim:

 

The journey to Stalheim is an attraction in its own right.  No matter which direction you are coming from you will travel through some of Norway's most spectacular landscapes; great mountains with snowtopped peaks, rivers throwing themselves fearlessly off steep mountains, narrow valleys and green meadows and the blue fjord framed by 1000 metres high mountains sides. Stalheim is one of the attractions and a major stop on the world famous “Norway in a Nutshell” roundtrip and man of our guests prefer to include parts of this round trip in their journey to Stalheim. Leave Oslo or Bergen on the morning train, include “Norway in a Nutshell “ and arrive Stalheim at 5 p.m.  The next morning there are ample bus connections both to Voss / Bergen and to Gudvangen / Flåm.  

Stalheim Hotel is easy accessible both from east and from west as route E-16, the main road between Oslo and Bergen passes Stalheim only a kilometre from the hotel.  From Oslo it takes from 5 to 6 hours to drive to Stalheim and from Bergen it takes about 2 hours. Nearest railway station with connection to Bergen and Oslo is Voss, 36 kilometres away. Nearest airport is Bergen – Flesland, 2 hours drive away.

Stalheim has excellent bus connection to Voss and Bergen on one side and Gudvangen, Flåm and Lærdal in the other direction.
